The annual Walking Hockey Festival will take place on the 9th of May, from 10am-2pm. It is for all men and women over the age of 55. We're going international this year, as a team from the Netherlands will be taking part.
Not sure what Walking Hockey entails? Well - hockey. Without the running, the hitting or the aerials. Teams consist of 5 players, playing on 1/8th of a pitch. It is suitable for old hands and newbies alike. There is an enthusiastic group of players who come down to the Club on a Thursday morning for a session. Feel free to come down. Of course not everyone is free on a Thursday morning, so if anyone would like to take part in the tournament, just let me know. There will hopefully be a few practise sessions in the weekends leading up to the tournament.
