As part of our preparatory work for the new season, we are inviting all Club Chairs, Designated Liaison Persons (DLPs) and Club Children’s Officers (CCOs) to join our interactive Workshop entitled "Safe Hands: Preseason Garda Vetting, Safeguarding & Best Practice".

The workshop will include an upfront session (30 mins) on the new Garda Vetting process and associated requirements.

This will be followed by a session (circa 60 mins) where we will explore specific safeguarding & governance scenarios that may arise at club level, from managing poor practice to handling documentation, data protection and associated facility issues.

Participants will also have the opportunity to share relevant experiences, learn from peers, and build confidence in dealing with common challenges in this area.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS
This workshop is specifically intended for club Chairs, DLPs, CCOs, committee members, coaches and/or volunteers — all are welcome.

It is specifically important for all DLPs, and all those dealing with garda vetting to attend the first 30 minutes as this will be integral to their role this season.
