Last week saw the inaugural session of Walking Hockey. Nine enthusiasts came down to see what it was all about. Some are past members of the Club, some are completely new to the Club and indeed even to hockey. We did a few drills to work on our skills and walking into space. Then the big moment came: we played an actual game of Walking Hockey! We all struggled a bit with the rules (not hitting a ball is very hard if you've played hockey before) and quite a few had to be reminded not to carry the ball! There was a lot of chat and laughter over the tea and biscuits after. A big welcome to Ann (not in the photograph as she took it), Anne, Carole, Claire, Margaret, Martina, Mary, Miryam and Michael - and to Marie, Miriam and Norita who joined in our second session. This week we received our first invitation for an overseas tournament. That could be fun!
